You've Got Mail is on TV, and I am absolutely a spineless jellyfish on the couch. It is splendid. I am curled up and just beyond relaxed. After this, N and I are going to go throw a softball around. Or rather he's going to throw and catch it and I am going to attempt to do both, probably spending more time running around trying to find the damn thing, since I can neither catch nor throw. Why am I putting myself through this, you may ask?
Because I'm a freaking idiot that's why. Because I have agreed to play for a summer softball league at ye olde alma mater. Because I don't get enough humiliation at work. *sighs*
As I said in the last entry, if you are interested in watching my humiliation, let me know. I'll give you directions.
Lei and Ehren got me a gift certificate to L.L.bean for my birthday. Which is exciting because I can order these - in the pink/grey color. Cause they look coooool.
Of course, they are backordered until freaking AUGUST. :( I think I'll order them anyway, because I really do like the look of that color, and then just suck it up and use the sucky pair of sunglasses I have. What's sad is that that by the time I get them...I'll be BACK in school. Grr argh. My only hope is that Lei had the same 3 month backorder for her puffy coat...and she actually got it within weeks. So here's hoping that they are grossly overestimating the wait time. Cause I want the sunglasses darnit!
Party last night was fun...the weather is beautiful, and I can not wait for school to be out...not long now. 3 weeks, but only 2 weeks until finals. I love finals. I can't believe I'm saying that...but I really really love finals week. So much less for me to do!
So now I'm off to enjoy this beautiful day, hit up the cell for any major inquiries.

So This is What 26 Feels Like
It's interesting. 3 full days of it, and I have to say 26 appears to be doing better than 25 did, at least at first. We'll see how things go.
I have to say it must be Murphy's Law or something, but the minute things go well in my life...people around me start getting depressed. I finally manage to pull myself out of a funk, and everyone else's life goes to pot. At least when I'm miserable people around me have lives that are going peachy keen. Which just makes me feel guilty for attaining a certain amount of "life doesn't suck-iness."
It's not just one person, though clearly I'm most worried about 2 people. Still, I think I'm getting to a place where I can accept that I have a right to be generally happy. Plus, as the roomie says, I'm acting less like a spinster-cat lady and more like a young woman in my mid-20's ready to party it up. Whoop.
Birthday party (sort of ) this weekend. I actually feel like this joint venture has spun out of control - I was totally up for it when it was the celebration of 2 birthdays, but it's lost that and that's a little sad. Because yes I am selfish and like to have most of the attention on my birthday, damnit! I know one is supposed to outgrow that sort of thing, but I haven't. Oh well, I'm not too too sad about that fact. I'm looking forward to the party...sorta. I just feel a little like it's gonna be a totally overwhelming experience...I'd rather go dancing with my nearest and dearest. Oh well. In for a penny, in for a pound.
I am currently the new owner of Veronica Mars Season 1 and Stargate Season 1. Because when someone wants to get me a birthday present, they im my roommate. Who again rocks on multiple levels and really doesn't realize how freaking awesome she is. Hell she puts up with me and hasn't attempted murder yet - that's a hell of a feat.
I am liking 26 thus far. After a certain physical discomfort passes, I am actually looking forward to heading back out to the gym and getting back into the shape I was in around November. I looked, but more importantly FELT awesome. I want back there.
Also, I have 4 days to learn how to hit a softball. If you want details on why, please call me, otherwise, anyone in the vicinity of my darling alma mater on Wednesday at 5:30 let me know, cause I'll be making an all-fired fool of myself.
It aint gonna be pretty folks...
OK, me and my 26-year OLD self need to get some sleep. For this old woman needs to teach a bunch of young jerks in the am.
At least tomorrow is Friday, whoop!

I'm not dead...
but most of you knew that anyway. Cause, as Sam put it, we're both into actually living as opposed to reflecting on that fact. And it's not like I've got people outside of the area code who are checking up on me through the blog and no other way.
Still, as an update... :) Things are generally going well. And I don't want to work on my freakin' portfolio...but I have to have it done by Tuesday at the latest. Argh.
I want to read. Nap. Cuddle with my kitty. I do not want to be writing a prompt...though to be fair I only have 2 to write...
bah. humbug.
I should go do that now, but again, I am alive...
