As I was typing the last entry, the thought crossed my mind, often, that I was just asking for the Universe to bitch slap me across the room. Because, a truth universally acknowledged, when you are happy and say it aloud something rather drastic must go wrong.
In this case my car started smoking. Not the engine, just the Electronic Climate Control Unit.
*sighs* Not even 24 hours after I posted. The problem has been taken care of, of course, thanks to K's lovely mechanic. But still.
That's all for now, I have laundry to finish and packing to accomplish.

Oh the Lazy Summer Days
I love summer. Seriously. I didn't love it when I was in college. And I didn't love it when I was in high school...I liked it but didn't love it. Now? Now I love it. LOVE it.
Clearly things are going not so bad for me. I had a softball game this afternoon that went well (we won, go Psi Stars!) and had a good dinner with new friends etc. I am appropriately tired after that - think I'm gonna pull out my contacts and settle in with a good book.
The kitty is a bit traumatized after a very long 48 hours, filled with multiple car rides, dogs and a softball field (amusingly enough, those events were independent of each other) and details will be happily shared upon further request.
In other news, I need to write curriculum for 2 classes by the end of the summer...that's gonna be tough stuff man.
The roomie and I are enjoying summer. I just got new pajamas which are cute, and some books and a wallet and an adorable new swim suit. Really, it's been a good couple of weeks. And now I'm off to do some reading and curling up of my own.
Call me people - this may be one of the few times of the year that I am unencumbered and up for doing anything anytime!
