Odds and Ends

To address the obvious, yeah I changed the template. Anyone who's been reading this over the last 18mos realized I do this with alarming regularity, and saw this coming. It's not quite done yet, but the basic stuff is all set.

If you didn't watch tonight's series premier of The Inside you should check it out at your earliest convenience. Besides being a show to watch in the summer when everything else is in re-runs or frightenly stupid, this seems like a fantastic show. It's on Fox, but think more Fox that used to show The X-Files, less Temptation Island Fox. In other words, the show looks creepy in all the right ways. It's out of LA, following a gorup of FBI agents, the female lead is a Profiler, who was kidnapped at the age of 10 and held captive for 18mos before she escaped...I could try to explain more but really I can't do it justice. Tune in next week, it's worth an hour of your time I think.

Line of the night? "Freeze! Federal Agent!" *Agent fires shot, killing the serial killer instantly* "Let her go!" *pause* "Damn, I always do that in the wrong order." A line delivered in perfect deadpan by the fabulous Peter Coyote. And it inserted just a tinge of humour in an otherwise completely humourless scene. Well done!

So there you go...the update for the day.
