April Vacation

And the title says it all. A chance to breathe, relax....

And do all the crap I've been meaning to get done for the past 6-9 months.

Yes, I had a week off in December and February and no I didn't get anything done during those weeks. Problem?? I didn't think so.

We spent a glorious day in the sunshine yesterday - me, B. and the Roommate. We were shopping at a set of outlets about 2 hours away. We drove down in the beautiful driving conditions, with a gentle breeze, and spent the day leisurely walking from one store to another, basking in the warmth, buying fun things.

Got that visual? Good. That's how it SHOULD have been.

To know what it was really like, replace "sunshine" with "pouring rain", "beautiful driving conditions" with "monsoon like water emptying itself from the skies on to the road", "gentle breeze" with "gale speed winds", "leisurely walking" with "hurrying to keep the chill out and the rain off of us" and "basking in the warmth" with "shivering in the cold."

Maybe that's a little exaggeration...but not much. Regardless, it was a fun day with good shopping done and really fun times with friends. Plus Roommate and I introduced B. to Tom Lehrer and the Vatican Rag.

I do note, in the weather report, that it is going to be beautiful and sunny this weekend, which is good it gives us a weekend. And it's gonna be great next week. Just in time to go back to school. Yippee. :)

To be honest, I'm okay with it being sunny when I'm at work - as long as it does indeed get sunny and warm. Soon. Please and thank you.

I have been so good today - I cleaned the bathroom, got a haircut, got myself waxed in the facial area, RSVP'd to a wedding, and am not even a quarter the way htrough my to-do list for the day.

And I'm pretty pleased about it.

I really have nothing else to type right now...damn...

Well off to face teh world in all it's gloomy glory!
